LUO Logistics Group Strengthens Its Position – Weeman Oy Joins the Group
LUO Logistics Group has acquired Weeman Oy, a Finnish logistics company based in Kuopio. The acquisition strengthens LUO Logistics Group’s position in the Finnish logistics market and supports the group’s long-term growth strategy.
Weeman Oy is a well-established family-owned logistics company with more than 28 years of experience in the industry. The company specializes in distribution, collection, and linehaul transportation, particularly for temperature-controlled food logistics. In its daily operations, Weeman performs over one thousand delivery events and employs around 120 people.
The transaction enables LUO Logistics Group to further expand its service capabilities and strengthen its nationwide logistics network. The group itself was formed in 2023 through the combination of Huhtala Logistics Oy and Peura-Trans Oy, bringing together long-standing logistics expertise under a unified group structure.
By combining resources, operational capabilities, and expertise, the group aims to improve efficiency, expand service offerings, and better meet the evolving needs of customers across Finland. The acquisition also reflects the ongoing consolidation trend within the logistics sector, where companies are joining forces to scale operations and respond to increasing customer requirements.
Weeman Oy will continue its operations as part of LUO Logistics Group, and the companies will work together to further develop high-quality logistics solutions for their customers.
